Night Emperors is a viral series of nine large-scale hand-drawn illustrations celebrating New York’s nightlife community created by Sarah Tamani. Created during the pandemic in 2020 and completed in 2021 with a collab with JR and a TV feature, the series captures real figures—bartenders, owners, artists, insomniacs—within hyper-real, dreamlike nocturnal scenes.
