Sarah Tamani is a French artist, art director, and designer based in New York. Her work fuses fine art, large-scale murals, hand-painted fashion, and visual system and storytelling.

She is the creator of Night Emperors, a viral series of large-scale artworks celebrating New York’s nightlife community. What started as a labor of love, with over 700 real people hand-drawn, led to a TV feature, a collaboration with JR, and acquisitions by The Roxy Hotel, Soho Grand, and private collectors. She painted the monumental mural at Gabriela and collaborated with Adidas on a T-shirt collection featuring her illustrations. Her clients include Nike, Instagram, Smirnoff, HBO, and Uber.

With a background in literature and philosophy and an MFA from SVA, her work explores how the external world mirrors the internal. Fascinated by psychology and cognitive dissonance, she looks at how our reality is shaped by belief and trauma.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate.” — Carl Jung

Infused with poetry, symbolism, and spirituality, her art is where everything reconciles: a cactus offering free hugs, two boxers hugging instead of fighting. Spaces where softness and strength, joy and sadness, structure and chaos, coexist. Her deep conviction? Our souls need connection more than anything - to be fully seen.

“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” — Albert Camus
