Sarah Tamani is an award-winning French art director, designer, and painter based in New York, building worlds across canvas, clothing, and physical space.

She is the creator of Night Emperors, a viral series of ten large-scale tributes to New York’s nightlife community. What started as a hand-drawn labor of love led to a TV feature, a collab with JR, and acquisitions by The Roxy Hotel, Soho Grand, and Paul Sevigny. Her clients include Nike, Adidas, and Refinery29.

With a background in literature and philosophy and an MFA from SVA, her work explores how the external world mirrors the internal. Drawing from psychology and cognitive dissonance, she looks at how our reality is shaped by belief and trauma.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate.” — Carl Jung

Her art is where everything reconciles. A cactus offering free hugs. Two boxers hugging instead of fighting. Spaces where softness and strength, joy and sadness, structure and chaos, coexist.

Infused with poetry, symbolism, and spirituality, her work reflects a deep conviction: our souls need connection more than anything — to be fully seen.

“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.” — Albert Camus
